monsters to Make It! sale

i am realizing that being on mat leave makes me POOR!

i want to apply for Make It but with reduced cash flow i decided to have a little fundraiser to pay for my table there.

for those of you that don't know what Make It! is... its a super fun craft sale held twice a year at the aviation hangar and i thought the monsters could pay their own way.

i am having a monster sale.

my goal is to sell at least 25 monsters.

they are $15 each and for this sale i am offering them with free shipping!

check out pictures of each monster on my kabukikreations facebook fanpage!

more to be posted soon...

Memory Monday

This was my bikini top.
My little brother didn't wear it quite as well...
But he pulled it off.
Kind of.

it has been a while...

hard to believe it but today marks 7 years for fernando and i.
7 years!
that is a long time...

our first valentines day... back in 2005

what is pretty weird you ask?

7 years ago today i drove to calgary to see my friend's band play their first show at the distillery... that is where i ran into fernando.

where is fernando playing tonight?
the distillery. for the first time.

i will be at home with hugo this time, but its a strange coincidence i think. especially since the band was booked super last minute.

this was us at 6 years... i don't have many new pictures of us!
only pictures of hugo!

memory monday... it's tap time!

not sure exactly what year this is... i'm thinking mid 80's.
pretty awesome.

3 months! (yesterday... oops)

i can't belive hugo is already 3 months old!

thanks to Auntie Andrea he had a great cake to celebrate.
since he can't eat chocolate cake i made sure to make a big dent in it for him last night.

hmmm... what's this... cake?! chocolate?!
and you tell me no, don't put it in your mouth?
thats just not fair mom!

some of hugo's favorite things...

- mommy! he's definitely a momma's boy
- bath time splashing
- when i make car noises he grins and giggles. it melts my heart!
- if we say "i love you hugo" he smiles sooooooo big.
- blowing spit bubbles
- grabbing things
- petting chico (and chico loves it too!)
- getting his hair brushed
- his zebra fish... he can hold on and rattle it and he loves it!
- the mei tai. if he is cranky and over tired i pop him in there and within 5 minutes he's passed out.

not super impressed for these pictures...

a few other hugo things...

- his nails grow soooooo fast and he somehow manages to get dirty nails as soon as i clean them. boys will be boys i guess!
- he is finally fitting into the 0-3 month clothes! yay!
- some of the 0-3 month clothes is too short or the feet are too small. this little monkey is long and lean and has massive feet!
- he hardly sleeps during the day. a few cat naps when i put him in the wrap but otherwise he's up all day.
- sleeping through the night. yay! and in his bassinet! next stop... crib!
- doesn't really take the soother any more. i guess we won't have to worry about taking it away from him when he's older.

i can't imagine life without my little snuggle bear!

memory monday...

this is rosie...

this is also a super sweet acid wash jean jacket.
thank you 80's fashion!

i named rosie after my grandma whose name was Rose. she wasn't the most impressed with that, but to me it was a great honor for her.
this was also our one and only year in 4H... the peewee version with sheep. after that we ended up keeping our sheep and they lived long happy lives as our pets rather than being auctioned off.
